I take true enjoyment from the shutter release to the image upload to this site. This process allows me to collect what I consider to be the greatest souvenirs from my travels and experiences. But it's a balancing act finding gear that'll do what you want it to, yet not require a 2nd mortgage or a a mule to get it up the mountain! Most of these images were taken with an older Canon digital SLR and an assortment of lenses from ultra wide-angle to macro to super telephoto.

I'm a native Washingtonian, now in Vermont. I'm a fish biologist, and I enjoy all types of outdoor recreation, particularly backpacking, skiing, fishing, canoing....and this is evidenced in my galleries.

I'll be keeping the most current and/or interesting (to me!) gallery in the 'Featured' slot; the rest of the new stuff goes into the 'Recent' gallery for a while at least.
